The ballroom is buzzing with the sound of sequinned shoes shuffling off stage, folks! Ex-Strictly sizzle Ola Jordan is calling for a glitterball coup – saying it's high time to hoof out half the hoofers! This ten-year twirl titan's got her eye on the future, backing BBC's bid for a pro dancer purge to keep the Saturday night samba spicy.
Speaking to Mecca Bingo, our girl Ola didn't mince steps saying, 'I think about half should go.' As rumours rumba round that Karen Hauer, Nadiya Bychkova, and a few more fancy-footed favourites won't be back to backflip this series, Ola's championing an infusion of fresh, fleet-footed talent to sweep audiences off their feet.
And as stalwart presenters Tess and Claudia bow out from bopping behind the mic after twenty terrific turns, Ola's all for these fresh-faced changes. She's even got a shoutout for newbie Alexis, last year’s dynamo daredevil – 'Some of Alexis' lifts? I couldn't do them!' Ola confessed. 'Shows you, new blood is the new beat!'
But it's not all trophy-winning jive; Ola's casting shade on some pros whose passion's lost pace. 'A bit bored last year,' she twanged, urging a jolt of jovial jigsters to jazz things up. As for herself, she's quickstepped out with grace: 'You know when it's time to take a final bow.'
Keep your peepers peeled to see who's next on the 'Strictly not returning' list, and who'll be the new kids on the dance block! Cha-cha-cha!
